Terms of service

Last updated 8 October 2026. These terms apply to the SlideClark website and web app at slideclark.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, or buying anything through it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. This page is written in plain English; the numbered headings are the binding parts.

1. Who we are

The Service is run by Matt Visser, an individual in the United Kingdom, trading as SlideClark ("we", "us"). SlideClark was previously called Pitchcraft. Our contact details for legal notices are in section 18.

2. What the Service is

SlideClark is a presentation editor that runs in your web browser. Your decks are stored on your own device and are never uploaded to us. Most of it is free: editing, presenting, saving unlimited .sldc files, sharing links, saving as PDF, and opening PowerPoint files. Saving a deck as an editable PowerPoint file (.pptx) is a paid feature called "Pro" (section 4).

3. Accounts and signing in

You only need an account to use Pro. Sign-in, purchases and subscriptions are provided by Whop ("Whop"), a separate company with its own terms and privacy notice. You sign in with your Whop account; we never see your Whop password or card details. You are responsible for keeping your Whop account secure and for what is done with it. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to buy Pro.

4. Pro, prices and what you get

  • Export pass: £1.99 once. PowerPoint export for 24 hours from purchase, as many exports as you like. It ends by itself.
  • Pro monthly: £3.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial. It renews every month until you cancel.
  • Pro yearly: £29 a year, with a 7-day free trial. It renews every year until you cancel.
  • Crew: free Pro access that we may give to friends and colleagues by invitation. It is a gift, not a purchase (section 7).

Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown at checkout by Whop, with any tax that applies to you. We may change prices or plans; a change never affects a payment you have already made, and for a subscription it applies from your next renewal after we have told you through Whop or by email at least 30 days before.

5. Free trials and renewal

A trial lets you use Pro for 7 days without paying. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan starts and the first payment is taken from the card or method you gave Whop. We remind you before a trial converts where the law requires it, and Whop sends its own receipts. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the price then shown to you, until you cancel.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time, in two clicks, from your account page or from your Whop account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, or the end of your trial. Cancelling does not by itself refund a period already paid for (see our Cancellation and refunds page, which forms part of these terms, and section 8).

7. Crew access

Crew access is free and given at our discretion. It has no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and we may end it at any time, for any reason, by removing the membership at Whop. We will try to tell you first.

8. Your legal rights to cancel and be refunded

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content or a service made online. When you buy Pro and ask for PowerPoint export to be available straight away, you agree that we start providing it immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once you have made use of it (for a service, once it has been fully provided; for a subscription, for the part you have used). Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including your right to a repair, replacement or refund if digital content or a service is faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill. Our refunds policy says what we do beyond that.

9. Your decks and content

You own your decks and everything in them. We do not receive, store, review or claim any right over them: they stay in your browser or in files you save. You are responsible for backing them up (use Save deck file). If you share a link or file, anyone who has it can read the deck. You must have the right to use anything you put in a deck, and you must not use the Service to create or share unlawful material.

10. Acceptable use

Do not: attempt to bypass or share access to Pro (for example by copying the paid export code, sharing a signed-in session, or using automated means to obtain it); probe or attack the Service or the systems it relies on; use it to break the law or infringe anyone's rights; or resell it. We may suspend Pro access that breaks this section. Using the published AI guide and the in-browser API with your own account is welcome.

11. Our property

The Service, its design, code and name belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it under these terms. Files you export are yours. Bundled fonts are used under their own open licences.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise it will always be, or be error-free. We may change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you have paid for, we will refund the unused part of what you paid for it. The PowerPoint file is generated to match your slides as closely as is practical; some effects (such as animations, blur and glow) cannot be represented in PowerPoint, and text may reflow if a font is missing. Check the file before you rely on it.

13. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of data stored on your own device, loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen. If we are found liable to you for anything else, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. The free parts of the Service are provided "as they are".

14. Ending these terms

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or to comply with the law; if we end a paid plan other than for your breach, we refund the unused part.

15. Privacy

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy and cookie policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, if the change matters to paying customers, tell you through Whop or by email before it applies. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it, except where the law says otherwise.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live and may bring a claim in the courts of your home country or of England and Wales. Please give us a chance to put a problem right first: start with Whop, which handles payments and can open a case on your behalf.

18. Contact

For anything about a purchase or your access, please go to Whop first; it is the quickest route and keeps your payment details out of email. For legal notices, or if Whop cannot help, write to emma.visser23@gmail.com. Please do not send payment card details or the contents of your decks.
